Wednesday, 29 June 2011, Camp Normandy, Grafenwöhr.
JCLC 2011 graduates.
So now the parade is over. Cadets are JCLC graduates. Nothing left to do but change clothes, get the bags out of the barracks, find the bus (or mom & dad), get a sack lunch, eat a sack lunch, find the platoon Tac, get awards and get a diploma. Oh, and say goodbye to about 100 people (note to self: sign t-shirts, get hugs, get cell numbers and addresses, take lots of photos).
Saying farewell at JCLC is no simple task . . . you gotta be fast and a bit organized. But after ten days at JCLC that's simple. Remember 10 days ago when the Tacs told you to run everywhere? Now everybody is running, but there are no Tacs making you do it.
