Alpha Company spent the day challenged by events at the Leaders's Reaction Course. Supported by NCOs from Vilseck's 2nd SCR, the cadets met eight obstacles with the goal of having to figure out how to complete the mission successfully. Teams got a GO or a NO GO. Results count towards the Honor Platoon competition.
Monday, 27 June 2011, Camp Kasserine, Grafenwöhr.
It's almost 80 degrees F by the time Bravo Company arrives at the LRC this morning . . . and there is little shade. The camp commander allows the cadets and cadre to remove their ACU jackets and conduct this exercise in t-shirts. Cadets are instructed to drink lots of water and to us the sun screen lotion that has been provided. Two squads complete the eight tasks with all GOs.
