Company B is at the rappelling tower today . . . all day. First the equipment is checked and one platoon gets outfitted right away. These are the same harnesses we wore earlier this week at the Klettersteig, so cadets are familiar with the process. Soldiers from the 2nd SCR are present to provide training and overwatch. Safety protocols must be followed by everyone . . . the three towers are 30 . . . 40 . . . and 50 feet high respectively. We can't afford any mistakes. Certified rappel masters are on the towers and adults are on the ground on belay.

The weekend is over and JCLC is back on the range for more adventure training. Soldiers from the 2nd SCR have returned to support the rappelling operations at Range 118 for Company A. It is HOT this morning (only about 26 degrees C, but it seems like more), and there is little shade, but the cadets are enthusiastic about meeting this challenge. Drink lots of water!
