Simulation Center, Camp Aachen, Grafenwoehr.
A nice way to spend an afternoon . . . in an air conditioned simulation center in front of a computer screen, playing X-Box . . . or something like it. That's what the MRAP training was like. We had headsets on, sat behind steering wheels and actually (?) got to "drive" the vehicles. What we saw on the screen was what was happening to the vehicle. We drove the MRAP and the Husky.
The facility we used was a Virtual Clearance Training Suite (click on the link for an article about it on the Official Homepage of the United States Army). The MRAP is the Mine Resistant, Ambush Protected vehicle used by various armed forces around the globe. The Husky is the Husky Tactical Support Vehicle. Look'em up on the Internet.
