JCLC Sports & BBQ & Etc.
Life at JCLC is not all training. Sure the adventurous stuff is exciting and really fun, but there are other activities, too. Each night the platoons compete in sports . . . volleyball, softball, dodge ball and ultimate frisbee. We keep score and the tabluated results are included in the Honor Company competition.
Whenever there is "free time" cadets frequently practice drill . . . in anticipation of Saturday's Drill Competition. We use Monday to prepare cadets with instruction in canoeing and land navigation.
On Saturday, after the Barracks Inspection, the In-Ranks Inspection and the Drill Competition, we hold a Barbeque and play some more sports. Parents are always invited to join us. Cadets take this opportunity to reunite with their families and start passing on the "war stories" about what they have been doing the past week.
As soon as the S-3 has published the sports results, we will publish them right here. Meanwhile, enjoy some candid shots of Sports & BBQ & Etc.
